|Hugh de Clermont|
|First Mentioned||Discovery of Witches|
Hugh de Clermont was the eldest vampire child of Phillipe de Clermont. He was executed on the orders of the king of France.
A Discovery of WitchesEdit
Hugh de Clermont is an older brother of Matthew Clairmont. Hugh was an excellent negotiator.
Shadow of NightEdit
Hugh de Clermont is the vampire father of Gallowglass. He was the oldest of Philippe's vampire sons and the closest to Matthew Clairmont of any of Matthew's vampire brothers. The end of his existence as one of the last of the Templars was even more tragic because if he had survived, he might have been able to convince Philippe to continue to fight for his own existence in the 1940s.
The Book of LifeEdit
Hugh is revealed to have been the mate of Fernando. It is also revealed that he was burned at the stake. Although there was no body left to bury, Matthew made him a memorial in the family chapel at Sept Tours, using his shield, armor, and sword.
